Delhi Airport

The Delhi Airport is one of the most important meeting points of people. You have the visitors and tourists from various parts of the world visiting the city. There are thus national as well as international airlines. The Delhi Airport is located 123 km south of Delhi. It is considered as the most important gateway for foreigners in India. There are two terminals in the Delhi airport. One of the terminals is the Domestic airport.

Delhi Airport Terminals

The Delhi airport comprise of two terminals. They are known as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is the domestic airport and Terminal 2 is the international airport. There are two other sub-divisions within the domestic terminal, named Terminal IA and Terminal 1B. Apart from this there is the Domestic Arrival Terminal.

Delhi Domestic Flights

You have the Alliance Air flights and national Indian Airlines flights that take off from Terminal 1A. On the other hand the private airlines always take off from the Terminal 1B. The private airlines are namely Jet Airways, Air Deccan, Air Sahara, and the like. The total distance between Terminal 1A to IB is approximately 8km. This is at a distance of 5km away from the international airport.

Delhi Domestic Airports

The India Gandhi International Airport is the most prominent domestic and international airport in Delhi. The airport is named after the famous former minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The name of the airport was previously known as the Palam Airport. At present, the Palam Airport serves as the outlet to all the domestic flights. Safdarjung Airport in Delhi

The Safdarjung Airport in New Delhi is one of the oldest airports. This is now utilized for all sorts of other aviation purposes. It was previously the main airport in Delhi. Post this the Indira Gandhi Airport was constructed.

Domestic Airport Airlines

On an average there are about 35 airlines that take off everyday. The domestic as well as the international customers enjoy the flight. The facilities that are provided are more or less the same with slight variations.
